Coming Home to BRMCWC
How wonderful to return to the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference. This was the first writing conference I attended (in 2017), and the community there planted seeds in my author's heart that continue to bear fruit. Bob Hostetler’s encouragement continues to ring in my soul, “God has planted inside you a story no one else can write.” I hope this encourages you even as it saw me through the many peaks and valleys of this author’s life.
It was a joy to both reconnect with longtime writing friends as well as make new ones. Some, like the 540 crew, I’d only met virtually, while others have been encouraging me since I embarked on this journey. (I’m looking at you, Sandra Lovelace!) Blue Ridge friends, folks from FCWC, Writers Chat members, 540 zoom pals, some of the Firsts in Fiction gang, and even some Realmies and Havok buds.
540’s fearless leader, Becky Antkowiak was unable to attend at the last minute so we created Becky-on-a-stick for photo ops. Seriously, Becky is an incredible blessing to several writing communities, and though she was missed, we enjoyed showing her a little love.
The Blue Ridge conference is a great place to learn, connect, and be encouraged. I can't recommend it more highly, especially if you're starting out as an author, no matter what your genre.
Enjoy these pics of our shenanigans!
p.s. Check out the lovely Linda Goldfarb in pic #2. I’ll be her guest on Your Best Writing Life in the very near future. Stay tuned to stay in the loop.
